This garden was given a complete overhaul. The brief was for a garden for entertaining and relaxing. The space now delivers multiple sitting areas, including new wide steps, a fire pit is positioned to catch the evening sun, and still plenty of lawn room left for stretching out in the sun. A louvred steel pergola will give shade in the summer, as well as shelter from rain. There’s a practical utility area hidden behind a bespoke screen.
The large terrace has been divided up yet feels bigger. A Corten retaining wall, with Corten and porcelain steps introduces texture and colour into the hard landscaping. Specimen birch and ornamental pear trees help to create a feeling of enclosure and privacy. Low maintenance, predominantly evergreen, shade-loving planting softens the hard landscaping. Corten edging keeps everything neat and tidy around the limestone chippings and lawn.
This garden was built and planted late in 2024 - we will add more photos as the garden grows.
